President Trump is holding a press conference to talk about the coronavirus response and the bill in the Senate to address financial impact.
“For those worried and afraid, please know as long as I am your President, you can feel confident that you have a leader that will always fight for you and I will not stop until we win,” Trump said.
“We are a country not based on nationalizing our business,” Trump said when asked why he hasn’t nationalized any industries.
He added that enough companies with experience in the products needed have called and offered to help so there is no need.
He also sent shivers down Mitch McConnell’s spine as he stood tall for the American worker and said no stock buybacks by any company that takes a loan and made clear that the workers will come first.
“I want them to help the worker,” Trump said.
That is nice to see – look, Trump will fight the swamp on this because the special interests are circling.
A reporter asked Trump what he thought about Mitt Romney’s bad news that he had to go into self-quarantine. Trump was surprised to hear that and said,
“Romney’s in isolation? Gee. That’s too bad.”
