In some absolutely stunning news (for the left and their friends in the media) Trump’s approval numbers are skyrocketing, not falling, due to the coronavirus.
Trump, as usual, defies political gravity. Look, Trump is doing all he can to get this threat under control.
There were some missteps as there always are early in a new threat, but the administration is being flexible and finding solutions and the American people agree.
America always comes together in a time of crisis and we rally around our commander-in-chief. We are doing so again despite the media’s attempts to destroy Trump.
From The Daily Wire:
“In the new poll, 55% of Americans approve of the president’s management of the crisis, compared to 43% who disapprove,” ABC News reported.
Trump’s approval on this issue is up from last week when the numbers were nearly reversed. Only 43% approved of Trump’s handling of the pandemic and 54% disapproved in last week’s poll.”
The poll comes after China’s lies and cover-up of a coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan has thrown the world into a recession and has upended life for billions of people across the world.
“Over the course of a week, the president has shifted his approach and tone, giving daily briefings on the crisis since Saturday, alongside the White House task force leading the response to the coronavirus and announcing some severe measures to combat the virus,” ABC News added.
“During the two days in which the poll was conducted, the president signed an economic relief bill to help combat the coronavirus, ensuring free testing and paid leave for certain workers, governors and local leaders across the country have imposed more stringent restrictions on travel and day-to-day movements, trading on Wall Street was halted again after the stock market continued to plunge and the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus hiked to over 9,000 across all 50 states.”
The number of confirmed cases in the U.S. increased by over 4,000 on Thursday as the U.S. now has over 14,000 confirmed cases, a number that is growing rapidly.
The rapid spread of the coronavirus in California led Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom to declare a shelter-in-place order to stop the rapid spread so that the state’s hospitals do not get overwhelmed.
“A state as large as ours, a nation-state, is many parts, but at the end of the day, we are one body,” Newsom said. “There is a mutuality and there’s a recognition of our interdependence that requires of this moment that we direct a statewide order for people to stay at home.”
